About us
Our Homes
Welcome to our EBD Residential Children’s Home’s, where every corner is designed with care and intention to provide a nurturing environment for children facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. As you step through our doors, you’ll immediately sense the warm and welcoming atmosphere that permeates our homes.
Our homes enable the care to be centred around young people’s individual needs which will enable them to thrive in a homely environment with dedicated staff. The homes can either operate as a solo placement or small group setting, which for some children is much easier to cope with than a larger residential setting. Our homes work with the secure-based model through therapeutic interventions to rebuild the bonds of attachment. We want all our young people to have a sense of belonging and the opportunity to work with the team to change and break negative behaviour and achieve positive outcomes.
Our homes are managed by experienced registered Managers with in-depth experience in social work and LD nursing, and a committed team who adopt a positive and nurturing approach to the young person. All staff have regular supervision, clinical supervision and regular training. Our homes are spread across locations in Essex and Ipswich.
Layout and Atmosphere
Our residential homes are thoughtfully laid out to promote a sense of safety, comfort, and belonging. The layout is designed to encourage both privacy and community interaction, with spacious common areas where children can gather for activities, meals and relaxation, as well as private bedrooms where they can retreat for quiet time and personal reflection.
Décor and Design
The décor of our homes reflects our commitment to creating a calming and supportive environment for our residents. Soft, soothing colours adorn the walls, complemented by warm, inviting furnishings that promote relaxation and comfort. Natural light floods through large windows, creating a sense of openness and connection to the outdoors.
Throughout the homes, you’ll find touches of creativity and inspiration, from colourful artwork created by our residents to motivational quotes and affirmations displayed prominently on the walls. Every detail has been carefully chosen to uplift and inspire our children as they navigate their journey toward healing and growth.
Personal Spaces
Each child has their own private bedroom, personalised to reflect their individual tastes and preferences. Our bedrooms are designed to be safe and comfortable havens where children can retreat for rest and rejuvenation. From cozy bedding to personal touches like photos and mementos, we strive to make each child’s room a place they can truly call their own.

Community Areas
In addition to private bedrooms, our residential homes feature spacious common areas where children can come together to socialise, learn, and engage in activities. These communal spaces are designed to foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie, with comfortable seating areas, designated activity zones, and ample opportunities for group interactions and support.
At our EBD Residential Children’s Homes, we believe that the environment plays a crucial role in supporting the healing and growth of our residents. Through thoughtful design, welcoming décor, and a layout that promotes both privacy and community, we strive to create a home where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
